Classroom Expectations:

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:

Wilshire Park Students have Panda Pride!

Each day the students will report their behavior on their daily communication sheet. Look for this sheet in your child's 'take home' folder.

Students are expected to know and follow these three expectations:

Be RESPECTFUL, Be RESPONSIBLE, and Be READY! A safe, orderly, positive environment is important at Wilshire Park. The students will establish classroom rules collectively.

Building-wide rules include:

· Students will demonstrate responsible behavior for learning

· Children will show self-control and respect for others by not hurting them on the inside or outside.

· Students will show respect for property by caring for all items.

· Follow directions from all school staff.

· Walk quietly in halls; wait quietly in bus lines.

· Hats or hoods are not to be worn in school (without medical or religious approval).

Consequences for disobeying rules will be as logical and natural as possible.

The Wilshire Park Behavior Plan is sent home early in the school year for parents to read and review with their child.

Wilshire Park Elementary Discipline Plan/Ms. Cooper's Behavior Plan:

Philosophy: All Wilshire Park Elementary students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner toward themselves

others, and objects. Students who exhibit positive behavior will receive positive reinforcement.

Students who do not follow respectful Panda

Pride expectations will receive consequences and interventions.

Students who are referred to the office will be required to complete a processing form.

Positive Behavior Plan:

As a classroom family, we will do everything possible to be proactive to assist students from having behavioral interventions.

Working together as an entire classroom to achieve goals.

As a staff and classroom family, we do everything possible to be proactive to assist students from having behavioral interventions.
In our classroom we participate in the following:
Individual Incentives: An "Outstanding Day" note will go home for above and beyond behavior.
Team Incentives: Teams work to earn a reward of accomplishement based on effort.
Classroom Incentives: Working together as an entire classroom to achieve goals.

When students struggle with classroom and school expectations the following plan will go into place.

Discussion with teacher. The teacher and the child will create shared conversations and consequences. (See pictures)
Reflecting with the child and individual responses.
